Jared and I met several years ago in Hutchinson while I lived there. He was friends with my sister’s boyfriend and we spent many fun filled nights on grilling and playing every game in the book. I eventually took a new job opportunity in Wichita and we lost touch.

Chelse then announced that she was getting married, and Jared was to be the best man! The couple had a reception in Hutchinson where Jared and I reconnected. We started seeing each other shortly after and have been inseparable.

Jared had never been on the Amtrak, so when mom gave us the opportunity to join her and dad on a trip to Santa Fe, of course we accepted. On the second day he was acting odd towards me all day and I could not for the life of me figure out why. Then, at noon, in the middle of the square… he popped the question! I was so thrown off guard I did not even realize he was kneeling for a few moments.

I could not be happier and I am so very grateful for all of the love and support that my family has shown us and I am ecstatic to be adding all of the Eakes clan to that list.

I met this crazy girl named Addie while going to school in hutch through my best friend.  My friend eventually ended up marrying her sister.  We would go hang out together and have a great time. I never thought we would ever date and a couple of years later we both were talking about how much we liked each other.  Then the next thing I know we were dating!  My friend and I always joked about becoming brothers so Addie and her sister always said we were just here so that they could be brothers but thats not true.  I never thought I would meet someone like Addie, she is such a loving, caring, fun person to be around!  I couldnt be anymore happy then what I'm now!  I'm glad I have her in my life and I couldn't image my life without her she is my life and my whole world!  I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
