As soon as you get off the plane be sure to look for the blue sign that says "Block 1" or "Block 2" (bloque 1 or 2) and "Immigration agent assistance." Don't waste anytime getting in either line. Several flights come in at the same time and the airport gets chaotic quick. There usually isn't anyone around that is very helpful and a lot of travelers congregate around with no sense of direction. Keep your travel documents ready and be sure to have your immigration form filled out. After you pick up your luggage and before you exit the airport, you'll be flooded with offers for excursions from several tour agencies. They will be aggressively pushing deals on you, and will waste a lot of your time if you let them. If you are interested in any excursions, I strongly suggest you call the resort and get quotes from their tour agency and compare offers! Everyone is trying to make an extra buck in Mexico!
