Bride

Okay, so let me tell you the whole story, because there is a backstory to the proposal.В

It was April 30th 2014, a Wenesday, I had just worked my two longest days of the month and had to be in work the next day by 5:30 am.В

Rich picked me up from work and asked me to take him to dinner.В  I was irrated because Rich knew that I had just worked a long day and I had to get up early tomorrow.В  I didn't let him see the irratation because he never asks me to take him to dinner, so I said sure, where do you want to eat?

Rich responded a Irish restaraunt in Laguna Beach.В  So, we were driving and Rich started to drive to a parking lot no where near the restaraunt, but near the beach.В  Already being irrated, I asked him why we didn't park near the restaraunt, he replied I want to see the beach and walk to the restaraunt.В  I became even more irrated because I was wearing heels...not walking shoes.В  I relented and didn't say anything.

Once we got there the sun was just setting and it was beautiful at Laguna Beach.В  The surf was in and the waves were huge compared to another day.В  Rich and I were watching the surfers and I could tell he was getting nervous for some reason, but I didn't know why.В

We started our little bantering saying we loved each other more.В  Rich then responded, well I think I have you beat, I love you more.В  He got down on his knee and asked me if I would marry him and the rest of his life with him.В  I said of course and hugged him!В  Rich was shaking so bad when he tried to put the ring on my finger.В  It was so cute!

I had planned to take Amanda to the beach for about a week.  I had the ring for about a week and half in my bag. I was thinking about the perfect time to ask her.

I thought we liked the beauty of Laguna Beach and the sunset has always been special to both of us. I thought what a perfect place to propose.

I was looking at when sunset happened, and I didn't think Amanda would suspect anything if I asked her to dinner at the end of the month.  So, after picking up Amanda, I suggested I wanted to go to dinner out in Laguna at Henessey's.

I really didn't want to dinner, I just wanted to get Amanda to Laguna Beach right before sunset, so I could ask her the question.  Once I got there, it was a gorgeous day and sunset was near.  We started to talk and tell each other who loved each other more.  I then decided to get down on one knee and ask Amanda to marry me.  I anticipated a yes, but still was nervous, until Amanda responded.
